Consultation

I offer case consultations to mental health professionals who need support for specific cases.  Clinicians reach out to me because of my experience with Treating Internalized Oppression and with family systems theories.  In a typical case consultation, a clinician would:

  • Present data about a challenging case

  • Discuss new ways to conceptualize the case using Treating Internalized Oppression and other frameworks and modalities

  • Collaborate on new interventions and strategies to help the case progress

You might reach out for case consultation if you:

  • Are a licensed professional who no longer has regular supervision

  • Need ad hoc, one-off, or ongoing help with a specific case or cases

  • Want to bring perspective to your work that includes Treating Internalized Oppression

  • Are seeking help with compliance and awareness of diversity and inclusion mandates

    My case consultation sessions always involve TIO as a framework. Whether you are trained in TIO yourself or have never encountered it, I will help you use and understand it in the context of the cases you bring to our sessions.

    If you have trained with Stages in Radical Repair, support is available to help you refine your capacity to facilitate repairs with your clients. Deepen your understanding, consult on challenging situations involving repair, and refine your skills with this powerful technique.

    Examine possible transference/countertransference to narrow in on the core clinical issue.

Group Practices

Heidi is available and experienced in offering consultation to group practices. Whether you want to host Heidi at your site or come to her office in Bothell (just outside of Seattle), Heidi will present the TIO framework, train your practitioners in Radical Repair, or offer consultation on specific cases or types of cases.
